This guy is the dogs, old school skating at its very best. Foot Plants, No Complys, and good old fashioned all out boarding.
An amazing find... my old Mclusky video from the Barfly 2001 I think. I will upload the Mickey Smith kitchen video soon.
Is this the greatest unsigned band of all time? I think the video footage proves they certainly have one of the most loyal and committed fans I’ve ever seen...
Rocky 3 was one of the films along with Top Gun and Paul McCartney Unplugged that was played till the tape wore thin at 60 Coburn Street. Clubber Lang's 'Pain' quote was used to death by Jarvo and Im elated to find it preserved in fine digital format here. Now press play sucker!!
Its been a fantastic night. First up it was off to Brody's Christmas play....that's right, up yours Jehovah's, Brody's on stage and there's nothing you can do about it. Brilliant play, Brody played a stunning Scottish boy, Connery better watch out, there's a new khat in town. Had a great chat with Mike 'the dentist' about camper vans etc, this lead on to the fantastic holidays Laura and I had, and what brilliant love filled days they were.
Play finished, One proud farther later and then it was off to Matt's flat for some classic gaming action and look round his new pad. Its been a while since hanging out with Harding last and I have to say I don't now know why? We had some great banter, and some superb games of tennis on the wii via his enormous projection screen. Matt's flat is as crazy as he is and as polished as his hair. We then ventured north for the Alan Holdsworth gig at the Acorn - I think it was good, but need to sleep on it to be sure.
A brief meeting with Chad Wackerman (drums) and the man Alan himself afterwards topped a great night of beer, banter and reminiscing. Cardiff, gaming, videos of Mitch and memories of Ty's high rise metal heeled cowboy boots tapping down a garden path.
